Welcome to the New England Association of Regional Councils’ website! You’re visiting us indicates an interest, whether passionate or casual, in the well being of our Region. As the seat of the Battle for Independence over 200 years ago, New England has always been a bedrock of solid values, dynamic industrial and commercial change, a Region that sets its eyes on the future. Like those who saw the future so today do the Councils and Commissions of our Region look forward to providing a quality of life through planning and implementation of processes and approaches that assure a healthy environment, a transportation and transit system that effectively and efficiently moves people and goods, a solid, lasting infrastructure, wise and forward looking land use and conservation, methods and plans for conserving and providing alternative energy sources for the future and a vibrant development of economic well being.
The links you’ll find on this site will bring you to Councils of Government and Regional Planning organizations who are working to bring the above goals to reality through the encouragement and facilitation of cooperation of the municipalities that make up their organization. Use the information provided by them and ask for assistance when needed. If you are a government agency, a municipality, an institution, a business, and or an individual we urge you to participate with your Regional organization.
As a Region New England can provide a quality of life, a secure economic and environmental future, a Region that once again attracts young and old to it because of all that it has to offer.
NEARC hopes you’ll use this site and visit it often as we look to make it a resource of value to you.
Thanks for visiting! Sincerely, David J. Danielson, President Commissioner, Southern NH Planning Commission |
