As the sixth president of the New England Association of Regional Councils, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our site on the world wide web. We are committed to providing you with up to date information on the many diverse regions within New England from Cape Cod to the mountains, from the Lake Champlain to the coast of Maine, from our smallest rural areas to our largest metropolitan regions. New England has a rich historical and cultural heritage which has affected the fabric of our entire nation.

The 60 Regional Councils in the six New England states are repositories of information about their area that they are committed to share with you. This web site provides direct links to those regions with their own sites. We also provide electronic mail service to each of the councils for inquiries and further explanation of the planning resources available about their area.

NEARC meets annually to share information and planning strategies. Our next annual conference is scheduled in November of 2006 in Manchester Village, Vermont. Details are posted under the conferences section of the web page or by following this link. (2006 NEARC Conference Agenda)
