American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)

 

Summary:

 

Over the next two weeks, the House and Senate will both pass their versions of the over $800 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) package. During conferencing of the bill between the two branches, the House, the Senate and the Administration will all play key roles in crafting the final legislation.  The House passed their bill on Wednesday evening and the Senate is expected to take up their version starting Monday, February 3rd. 

 

Attached are the most recent summaries of both the House and Senate Bill nationwide allocation of recovery funding by state.  This information was made available through NADO and the Center for American Progress.

Second, attached are new charts prepared by  that show how much money each state would receive under specific programs, as currently reflected in the House and Senate economic recovery packages.  Please note that these figures are subject to change by amendment on the Senate floor (for the Senate package), as well as the final House-Senate compromise if we ever get that far in the legislative process.  Additional charts and background information on the supporting methodology is available online at
